It is with a great deal of sadness 

that I have decided

to close this business I have been

running primarily from home

for about 8 years.

 

Recent moves and changes to clinic addresses,

followed by a brief return home

have proved unsuitable.

Rents are high, choices are low and the time

has come ... the walrus said!

 

My former reflexology room has recently become

an art room for sewing and painting -

and there's nowhere else to go!

 

So, I am sad that it's the end of a very

productive and beautiful part of my life.

But I'm also looking forward with happiness

and anticipation to the next step.

 

I will be following my love and creation of

art textiles, painting and mixed media work,

so it's very exciting!

 

Thank you to everyone ... 

long term and more recent clients

for your loyalty and support.

Without you, I would not have been able to

share the incredible healing that reflexology

offers, for so long.

Well, no excuses.

It's been a lonnng time between posts!

 

I'm actually taking a break for a while,

so we can complete

major house renovations.

 

Although I'm estimating that I should be back

by end of 2013 ... you know how renos

just seem to go on and on ...

 

So, I will realistically say that I'll be back

very early in the new year 2014.

Imagine being given details about a one-day workshop

My friend and colleague FIONA (reflexologist),

with her friends SARAH (Dru yoga and meditation teacher),

KAREN (kinesiologist/nurse) and

SHARON (therapeutic oils and Bach flower essences)

developed this amazing workshop which I shared

with nearly 20 women yesterday.

#

 

Here are some pics from around the chakra table

 in the centre of the room.

People kept going up to this table throughout the day

for their own quiet meditation.

Following a delicious vegetarian soup lunch,

there was a fire ceremony ...

we began by using the golf balls to find chakra points

on our feet!

... each banana flower leaf held a candle, which we lit

and then filled with a flower from each chakra colour 

and offered to mother earth outside

(between showers!)

This whole ceremony took place in silence.

The day was filled with yoga, discussion, singing, laughs,

relaxation, contemplation and calming meditation.

Thank you gals - I'm still feeling the calming benefit

from this wonderful day.

study day

Yesterday I had the most amazing time

in great company at Ingrid's beautiful property

in Bridgetown,

where we held our reflexology study day.

After our meeting and yum lunch,

we took part in a mini shiatsu

introductory workshop.

I'm now hooked on this modality

which overlaps what we practitioners

already know and do in so many different ways.

It may be running as a short course

 later in the year,

so stay tuned.

happy new year

Hi everyone

I hope you're enjoying a wonderful holiday season

 and happy, peaceful new year.

I have to admit that I was tucked up in bed

 before midnight on 1 January!

Christmas was delightfully busy with family

and friends here for lunch.

 I relaxed for a few days afterwards

with a stack of novels and some

sewing ... lovely

News:

I've recently purchased some doTerra
essential oils and learnt
AromaTouch massage.

With a little practice ;-)))

I will soon be proficient in this delightful technique.

It's a gentle back, neck, shoulders, head

and feet massage using these beautiful

essential oils, to calm, invigorate

or de-stress your body.

Later in the new year I will also be trying

some Australian essential oils
as I'd like to compare the results

and also support Australian suppliers

if possible.

I made some candles on Wednesday

with Katie at 

Angel Force Healing Day Spa Therapy and Training

and some other reflexology friends.

Love them.

These are lavender colour, with lemongrass and

 vanilla oil fragrance mixed together.

It was an experiment and it worked.

They smell and look divine!

I have recently been introduced to these beautiful

essential oils from doTERRA.

For some time I've wanted to learn more

about using them in conjunction

with my healing modalities.

They work particularly well for emotional problems,

applied directly and also through ingestion.

I'm not ready to give them for ingestion yet,

but we are emotional beings so I'm researching

that avenue to begin with.

I love my Fragonia oil and already

 use that most days

in my treatment room.

It can only get better!

Blue ribbon

On Sunday we had the RAoA branch meeting
at the gorgeous Jan's place
at Preston Beach. Jan wanted to honour Judy

from Bridgetown as a bit of a mentor.
She's always willing to share her knowledge,
great advice and skills with anyone who asks.
